Laois Shopping Centre manager Kevin Doyle has finished second in the Manager of the Year at the Sceptre Awards 2017.
The Sceptre Awards recognise the best practice and the best people in the shopping centre industry.
They are the pre-eminent accolades in the shopping centre industry.
The awards are designed to put the focus on management teams, retailers and suppliers that demonstrate real excellence.
The shopping centre celebrated its 25th year existence in 2016 and Kevin has been part of the team since its first day.
The centre sponsors Laois GAA, the Ploughing Championships and the Laois Rose. It also supports and promotes many local charities.
There was much support locally for Kevin who is a well-known and popular figure in the centre, having spent a quarter or a century there.
Revamp
The shopping centre underwent a major revamp in recent years, with increased underground parking and greatly improved shopping experience for customers.
