Cantwell, Church Street, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. June 14th 2017. Peacefully at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin. Margaret (Peggy) deeply regretted by her daughter Ann-Marie and son Philip, her grandchildren Anthony and Adam, daughter in law Jenny, her brother Tony, neighbours, relatives and friends. Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney on Friday evening from 8pm with rosary at 9pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery. Family flowers only by request. Donations in lieu to the Jack & Jill Foundation.
Michael Carroll
Mount Eagle, Ballyroan, Laois
Michael Carroll, Mount Eagle, Ballyroan, Co. Laois and latterly of St. Brigid’s Hospital, Shaen, Portlaois. Died in the loving care of the nurses and staff of St. Brigid’s. Son of the late James and Catherine. Predeceased by his sister Betty and brothers Jim and Tom. Brother Sean and his wife Edi (UK), niece Catherine Hearns and her husband Declan, nephews PJ, Jimmy and Noel Carroll, cousins and his family in Shaen.
Michael will repose in The Oratory in St Brigid’s Hospital, Shaen on Thursday from 6pm. Recital of The Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday morning in The Oratory at 10.30am. Burial after in The Burial Ground adjoining The Church of The Immaculate Conception, Abbeyleix at 12.15pm approx.

Maryborough Village, Portlaoise, Laois/Ballyadams, Laois
(Late of Parkhill, Ballyadams, Co. Laois) Reposing at her brother Sean’s residence, Parkhill, Ballyadams from 10am tomorrow, Wednesday, with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Ballyadams for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Ballyadams.
Jane Quinn (née Coone)
Chapal Park, Clontuskert, Ballinasloe, Galway/Ballyroan, Laois
Died 10th June, in Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, surrounded by her loving husband, Johnny, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family and friends. Reposing in Hospital Mortuary from 5pm on Wednesday with removal at 7.30pm to St. Agustines Church, Clontuskert, for 8pm. Funeral after 12 o’clock Mass on Thursday in adjoining Cemetery.

Malahide, Dublin/Walkinstown, Dublin/Offaly/Laois
Mel died on June 11th 2017 peacefully in the wonderful care of St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. He is predeceased by his parents Gerry and Moira late of Bunting Road, Walkinstown and is the founder of OpenApp. Mel is deeply regretted by his wife Trish, sons Bill, Hugh, Gerry and Paddy, Kina (Hugh’s partner), brothers and sisters Gerard, Aline, Ciaran, Lor, Carmel, Meabh and Frank, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, colleagues in OpenApp, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4pm with Rosary at 5.30pm. Removal to St Joseph’s Church Mountmellick at 6.15pm arriving for 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12noon. Burial after in St Joseph’s Cemetery.
John (Johnny) Doheny
Patrick Street, Mountrath, Laois/Ballybrophy, Laois
John (Johnny) Doheny, Patrick Street, Mountrath and formerly of Garron, Ballybrophy, Co. Laois. June 9, 2017 (unexpectedly) at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, daughters Lourda and Adrienna, son in law John, grandchildren, John, Cathal and Ciara, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at his home. Rosary in the house on Tuesday and Wednesday evening at 9 o’c. Removal on Thursday morning, June 15th, at 10.45 o’c to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath for Funeral Mass at 11 o’c, with burial immediately afterwards in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.
