There have been multiple reports that a house in Portlaoise was shot at last night.
LaoisToday understands that Gardaí were called to Carmody Way, Fairgreen in Portlaoise after the front door of a house was shot at.
The incident took place around 10.45pm and witnesses say a blue Passat was seen driving away from the scene at speed.
LaoisToday also understands that the house which was shot at belongs to a family but thankfully, nobody was injured.
Gardaí conducted door-to-door inquiries last night and remained in the area for some time after the incident.
