On Wednesday last members of the Green Team in Colaiste Iosagain were presented with a Green Flag and certificate in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone.
In the photo is Minister Denis Naughton, Minister for Communications, Climate Change and Environment with students, Alison Bryan, Claire Kelly and Megan Quinn Murphy.
Holding the flag open are Ms.Gilligan and the girls with Mieke Scholte, the Green Schools Travel Education Officer. Last year the Green Team and coordinators, Ms Browne and Ms Gilligan with the support of Ms Scholte won a competition for ALL schools both primary and secondary to encourage walking to school.
