Gardaí are currently on the scene following a crash in Stradbally this evening.
The incident occurred at around 8pm on the Carlow Road just on the bend before the graveyard.
The single vehicle collision left the car involved lying upside down on the bend.
It is understood that nobody was seriously hurt in the incident and it is unclear how many people were in the car at the time.
The bend on the road leading towards Carlow and out of Stradbally has been the scene of several accidents in recent years.
The accident happened during the torrential rain which has forced Met Eireann to issue a status Yellow warning for Laois.
Met Éireann says that between 30mm and 40mm of rainfall is expected over the next 24 hours.
The alert, which also applies to Kildare and Kilkenny, is due to remain in place until 1pm tomorrow.
The Road Safety Authority is warning that roads will become hazardous when rain mixes with a build-up of oil and rubber deposits on surfaces following the recent dry spell.
