Have you ever fancied meeting some of the British Royal family? Well, tomorrow could be your lucky day as two of them will be in Kilkenny.
Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, will visit our neighbours for a couple of hours tomorrow afternoon.
The pair will be treated to a demonstration of hurling at Kilkenny Castle as part of a range of activities which begin at 10.30am.
The Royal couple will also speak to some of the traders at the weekly farmers market on The Parade before visiting the twice Oscar-nominated animation studio Cartoon Saloon.
In the early afternoon they are expected to make a whistlestop visit to the Grennan Craft School in Thomastown before moving on to the Curragh in Kildare and the National Stud.
Tight security surrounds the official Royal Visit which is being made at the request of the British Government and ‘to celebrate all that we do together to cement peace and secure a prosperous future’.
The couple arrived in Northern Ireland earlier yesterday.
