The Portlaoise Heritage Hotel was buzzing on Sunday night as 17 young girls vied for the title of the 2017 Laois Rose.
The contestants had been in the hotel since early on Sunday morning as they took part in individual and group interviews and prepared for going on stage.
Over 300 people packed into the ballroom in the Heritage – and our photographer Julie Anne Miller was there to photograph the girls in all their finery.
