Park Ratheniska man Oisin Nolan will be doing a skydive on the April 15 in aid of Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland.
The dual club player explained that suicide is something which has touched many people, prompting him to undertake the charity skydive.
“I will be doing a skydive from 13,000ft on the 15th of April in aid of Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland. If you wish to support me, follow the link (see below) which will direct you to where you can donate online.
“I will also have donation forms, and if you wish to give that way, contact me, or anyone with the forms. Doesn’t have to be a big amount of money, every little helps,” he said.
“Suicide is just too common and happening on a far too regular basis. It isn’t the answer to any problem, worry, or state of mind you may be in. Whatever you are feeling is only temporary and can be resolved,” he said.
“Nearly everyone has lost someone, or knows of someone, who has felt the need to take this awful step. We need to do what we can to help those who need it, so please, donate,” he said.
“This money is badly needed and is being used very well,” he said.
The Park Ratheniska club was tragically touched recently when their dual player Dinny Cahill, died by suicide.
The club has been very proactive in supporting suicide prevention.
Sarah Preston, who was a life-long friend of Denis, recently came up with the idea of the wristbands to remember her good friend and help raise funds for Pieta House, as well as promote suicide prevention.
His family spoke of how the support they received in the wake of their loss really helped them.

The wristbands are available by contacting Park Ratheniska club.
