Gardai arrested a man after a car was stolen in Portlaoise yesterday morning.
The vehicle was taken at around 6.30am in Bridal Walk, Kilminchy by a man in his late 40s.
The man, who is from the area, was arrested shortly after and the car was recovered by gardai on the Stradbally Road.
He was charged with the unauthorised taking of a vehicle and will appear at Portlaoise District Court on April 6.
