Gardai are investigating after Mountrath Community School was broken into AGAIN yesterday afternoon.
The robbers gained entry by smashing through the rear door around 4.30pm using a sledgehammer before proceeding to break-up the alarm box, and cut both the CCTV cables and the telephone wires.
A Garda spokesperson revealed to LaoisToday that the secondary school has been broken into at least once a year since 2013.
Incredibly, nothing appears to have been taken by the vandals.
Gardai are appealing for information on the incident and anyone who saw anything suspicious are asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station at 057 86 74100.
